At NWI Precision, we’re proud to introduce a groundbreaking initiative that’s redefining how we drive performance and deliver value: our Value Stream Engineer (VSE) Program.
This newly launched program—unique in Canada and implemented by only a select few organizations in the U.S.—represents a major step forward in how we develop talent and optimize our operations.
At its core, the Value Stream Engineer role is designed to enable maximum business value to flow through the delivery lifecycle—smoothly, efficiently, and consistently meeting customer expectations.
Unlike traditional organizational structures where strategy and execution are tightly intertwined—often slowing communication and decision-making—the VSE program introduces a LEAN approach. By separating strategic and tactical functions, we’re unlocking faster, clearer, and more effective workflows across the business.
The NWI Precision VSE journey for our four newly hired VSEs is structured across three immersive semesters in partnership with Humber College, covering everything from OSHA safety training and AS9100 standards to Lean Six Sigma (Green & Black Belt), advanced manufacturing, quality systems, finance, supply chain, leadership development, and project management.
This isn’t just a training program—it’s a strategic investment in the future of NWI Precision and our next generation of leaders.
We’re excited to see how this program will accelerate innovation, strengthen our capabilities, and continue delivering exceptional value to our customers.
