NWI Precision is proud to announce the successful renewal of our certificates from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) for our nuclear pressure boundary program, following a comprehensive two-week audit. This allows us to continue supplying safe, high-quality nuclear components to Candu reactors around the world.
This reaffirms NWI’s longstanding commitment to quality, precision, and safety within Canada’s nuclear industry, alongside industry partners including Ontario Power Generation.
Massimo Masini, President & CEO of NWI Precision, shared, “We know that the strong international success of Canada’s CANDU reactor is built in part on the robust nuclear quality standards and codes in Canada, including the CSA N285 standard and TSSA program oversight. NWI Precision has been a leading supplier of nuclear end fittings since the beginning of the CANDU story, and our recent investments demonstrate that we are committed to the long-term future of the nuclear industry. We strongly believe in safety and a high-quality product, supported by these rigorous quality programs. My thanks to the entire team whose hard work made this successful renewal possible.”
NWI Precision has been a trusted supplier of end-fittings and other nuclear components since the early days of nuclear energy in Canada – from supplying the original Pickering A reactors sixty years ago to today’s Pickering B refurbishment program – and has supplied components for nearly every CANDU reactor in the world.
This TSSA renewal is part of a larger investment in NWI’s nuclear business as we continue supporting the growth of clean, reliable CANDU produced nuclear energy worldwide.
